About the recipe file generation software “MRM-CD” Photo-Mask inspection.

2011.05.09

This time, we developed the recipe file generation software “MRM-CD (Multi Recipe Manager – Critical Dimension)” for Photo-Mask inspection.
This software enhances the function of the DFM Browser HOTSCOPE for Photo-Mask, and generates the CD measurement point specified on this browser as a recipe file in conformity with the P10 semi standard.
I hereby help the automation of the process, speedup and reduction of the inspection cost including inspection if I can interpret the file in conformity with the P10 semi standard in the inspection equipment or inspection preparations system side.
In us, I plan the development of the recipe file making function for inspections for defect “MRM-DF” as future release. It allows you to handle a recipe file formed by these software with a many functions Photo-Mask inspection equipment under development in us.
For details, please confirm it from the business contents page. In addition, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry performed this development as a part of the trust business by the strategic generic technology advancement support project in 2010.

Entry to “Invest Kanagawa 2nd Step” initiative was made

2010.04.26

Our registration to “Invest Kanagawa 2nd Step” was made Apr. 22, as we did last year.  Governor Matsuzawa expressed a strong enthusiasm to nurture venture enterprises by all means.  He expressed concerns on the difficulties for attempts to establish venture business entities.  We DO have materials for making an all-night-long lecture, but we kept gentleman's silence on that issue.

On that day, we welcomed several visitors from the city of Kita-Kyushu and had to fly to Miyazaki in the evening - so many people in Japanese industries seem to have ever-intensifying sense of we-must-manage-ourselves-through-this-difficulty-somehow concern.

Presentation made at Technical Show Yokohama 2010

2010.02.07

We presented the large-capacity flash memory systems built with SD memory cards at Technical Show Yokohama (Feb.3-5 at Pacifico Yokohama) as the output from collaborative project with Kanagawa Industry Promotion Center (KIP).  We thank all the guests who visited our booth.  The presentation was made as an attempt to make a practical spin-off from an ongoing equipment-developing activity.  Various feedbacks as well as advices were kindly offered, and we came to expect our development seeds may have more-than-anticipated potential in the high-tech fields.

Our mascot cat may also have left a favorable impression.

Official notification from Yokohama City

2010.02.01

We have been officially recognized as a grant recipient of the Entrepreneur Venture Promotion Fund by Yokohama Industrial Development Corporation (IDEC Yokohama).  It is the third recognition as the object of public financial support, following those from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Kanagawa Prefecture.  Three firm footholds now!  To think back, we made the first step forward as an entrepreneur by entering Yokohama Business Grand-Prix on Sept. 15, 2008, foreseeing the coming new era, in which semiconductor technology should have significant implications in ecology-oriented society.  We have seen lots of things after that, including the bust of American investment banks and so on, so many events.  We are confident, however, that the foresight and integrity of us, as supported by those public institutions, should culminate in firm establishment of supports from various social sectors.

Back from business trip to India

2010.01.22

Back from a business trip (Jan. 11 - 15) to Bangalore, India, I miss refreshing scent of early summer I felt over there.  Comfortable warmth a little over 25 deg C was SO different from this chill of mid-winter in Japan.  Sacred quarters of temple call for barefoot steps even on weather beaten corridors or stairs open to outside.  Yet such quarters have worldly vending stands to let you have snacks on foot; different people have different customs.  I nearly forgot what I was there for.

Special occasion for presentation of our achievements coming up

2010.01.01

Now that the new year has come, we’ll  have a special occasion to make a presentation on the development of large-capacity flash memory system, which is an integral part of our inspection machine technology.  We will disclose a working sample for demonstration at Technical Show Yokohama (Feb. 2 -, 2010 ) and make a presentation of our development efforts at Photomask Japan (April 13 -).  For details, please refer to Description of Business page.

Before those events, I will check the progress of running PCB sample building in India.  I hope they come out in time.

Results of two business contests

2009.11.26

(1) It was pity that we were unable to pass the semi-final of Yokohama Business Grand-prix 2010, yet making into “top 24” among 478 enterprises was of some significance.

(2) We were surprised to be awarded the “Guests (best impression) prize” at Kanagawa Business Audition (Nov. 26).
Semiconductor is losing momentum, poor publicity on Photomask, dubious better-than-never effort on middle-low-end equipment; it is paradoxically amazing that such a self-abusing presentation won the most popularity.  Several guests told us of wonderful impression they had, which seemed to be contagious for us too.  Next, we aim to build a tangible presence in Kawasaki theatre!

Lastly, we express our appreciation to the guests who voted for us and to Mr. Steve Jobs.

From America

2009.10.21

Five years since my last visit to Silicon Valley.  After so many things I am here again, and I cannot help being meditative and reminiscing.  People here say that high-class restaurants are re-gaining popularity again, and Silicon Valley seems to be on the way to strong recovery, perhaps taking Green Technology as a catalyst.  I missed that a restaurant is gone, where I often enjoyed their escargot, roast beef and soufflé.  I plan to leave for Japan on Oct. 23 - have I not told you what I was here for?

Accepted for Final Review of Kanagawa Business Audition 2009

2009.10.19

We made it to the final review of Kanagawa Business Audition 2009 (Nov. 25).  We are proud to have passed the first and second review, and then the hearing interview successfully, most likely because our business strategy met the demand of the present day.  The key phrase of our choice, “semiconductor technology for ecology” was quite pertinent.

We made it to the semi-final of Business Grand-Prix 2010

2009.10.18

Passing the primary and secondary reviews, we made it to the semi-final review (Nov. 7).  Last year, we failed to qualify the second; so this is a definite step forward.  From this year, reviews from semi-final and later are made open to public, and this change gave us a definite boost to our enthusiasm.

Attendant Designation obtained from Fundamental Technology Improvement Strategic Support Program

2009.08.17

The project we have been promoting, “Development of Automated Shared-use Photomask Inspection Equipment,” received a formal designation as a specific research and development plan as defined in the Article 4, Term 1 of Act on the Improvement of Fundamental Technology of Small and Medium Enterprises for Manufacturing Activities, from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry.  Sounds fairly complicated, but receiving this official designation would certainly gives a significant momentum to our development efforts.

Thank you letter from the Governor of Kanagawa prefecture

2009.08.07

We received a thank-you letter from Governor Matsuzawa of Kanagawa prefecture for our attendance in Invest Kanagawa Seminar and On-site Excursion, though actualization as an enterprise has to wait a little while, hopefully.  As we started out with hot enthusiasm on “Domestic Manufacturing in Japan,” we do intend to establish a manufacturing facility of our own someday soon, and make every efforts toward that.

Back from business trip to India

2009.07.14

I made a business trip to Bangalore, India, for a meeting with a development partner.  That region has been making rapid growths with IT industry as its core.  Construction of business parks, housing complexes and hotels are in progress, yet they are scattered in not too orderly cityscape and gave rather chaotic impression.

Indian cuisine was very tasty, and they were not TOO hot especially when accompanied with sweet things.  Such modest impression, however, was limited within my oral cavity - for about one week after returning from India, I had considerable physical phenomena that distract my attention from business transactions.  Beware of HOT Indian spices!
